The new QIPC subgroup/block work (#676, #684) broadened how often the SPIR-V codegen emits OpGroupNonUniform* ops and the SubgroupLocalInvocationId BuiltIn, but the corresponding Vulkan feature / SPIR-V capability boilerplate was never wired up:

  • VkPhysicalDeviceShaderSubgroupExtendedTypesFeatures::shaderSubgroupExtendedTypes was not requested at device creation, so the validation layer rejects the shader with VUID-RuntimeSpirv-None-06275 whenever an OpGroupNonUniform* is invoked with an 8/16/64-bit integer or 16-bit float.

  • OpCapability GroupNonUniform{,Shuffle,ShuffleRelative,Vote,Arithmetic,Ballot} were never declared in the SPIR-V module header, so strict validators (and any driver that enforces the letter of the spec) reject the module at vkCreateShaderModule with VUID-VkShaderModuleCreateInfo-pCode-08737. Permissive drivers tolerated the omission for 32-bit ops but the bug was waiting to bite as soon as wider types were used.

This commit gates the new feature/cap emissions on the existing spirv_has_subgroup_* / VkPhysicalDevice...ExtendedTypes device queries, so no behavioural change occurs on platforms that don't expose them.

Tests on Vulkan x i64 subgroup/block exclusive_min/max still fail because of a separate NVIDIA-driver-level miscompile of OpStore/OpSelect on function-scope %long variables when the stored value is an i64 constant with high bits set (e.g. INT64_MAX). That failure is not made worse by this commit and now produces the correct numeric value on every backend other than the NVIDIA Vulkan driver currently shipped here.

On Vulkan devices whose supportedOperations contains VK_SUBGROUP_FEATURE_BASIC_BIT but not the separate shuffle bits, these lines now declare GroupNonUniformShuffle and GroupNonUniformShuffleRelative in every SPIR-V module. I checked vulkan_device_creator.cpp: spirv_has_subgroup_basic is set only from VK_SUBGROUP_FEATURE_BASIC_BIT, while Vulkan exposes separate VK_SUBGROUP_FEATURE_SHUFFLE_BIT / VK_SUBGROUP_FEATURE_SHUFFLE_RELATIVE_BIT bits that indicate whether modules containing those capabilities are accepted. On such devices, even shaders that do not use shuffle ops can be rejected at shader-module/pipeline creation because the unsupported capabilities are present in the header.

P2 Badge Enable the subgroup extended-types extension

For Vulkan 1.1 devices that expose VK_KHR_shader_subgroup_extended_types, this check never becomes true because the extension enumeration above never pushes VK_KHR_SHADER_SUBGROUP_EXTENDED_TYPES_EXTENSION_NAME into enabled_extensions. As a result, shaderSubgroupExtendedTypes is not queried or enabled on the exact pre-1.2 path this branch is trying to support, so 8/16/64-bit subgroup operations can still hit the validation failure described in the commit message even when the device advertises the extension.

The pre-1.2 path the commit message claims to support
(`CHECK_VERSION(1, 2) || CHECK_EXTENSION(VK_KHR_SHADER_SUBGROUP_EXTENDED_TYPES_EXTENSION_NAME)`)
never actually fires because the extension is not in the enumeration loop that populates
`enabled_extensions`, so `CHECK_EXTENSION` returns false. Add the extension to that loop. Vulkan
1.2+ devices remain on the `CHECK_VERSION` core path; Vulkan 1.1 devices with the KHR extension now
correctly enable `shaderSubgroupExtendedTypes`.

Also add a FIXME documenting that `CapabilityGroupNonUniformShuffle{,Relative}` are gated on
`spirv_has_subgroup_basic` rather than separate `_shuffle{,_relative}` device caps. Vulkan's
`VK_SUBGROUP_FEATURE_SHUFFLE_BIT` / `_RELATIVE_BIT` are independent of `_BASIC_BIT` in the spec, so
a strict validator on a BASIC-only device would reject every Quadrants SPIR-V module here — even
kernels that do not use shuffle. No such device has been observed in the wild, and the path was
already exposed pre-PR for any kernel that emitted `OpGroupNonUniformShuffle*`, so the PR does not
make it worse but does broaden the surface. The FIXME sketches the fix.

IRBuilder::init_header() now always declares CapabilityGroupNonUniformShuffle and CapabilityGroupNonUniformShuffleRelative whenever spirv_has_subgroup_basic is true, but spirv_has_subgroup_basic is set independently of VK_SUBGROUP_FEATURE_SHUFFLE_BIT/_SHUFFLE_RELATIVE_BIT in create_logical_device(). On devices that expose BASIC subgroup ops but not shuffle variants, every emitted SPIR-V module will declare unsupported capabilities and fail validation at shader-module creation even when the kernel never uses shuffle ops. Please gate these two capabilities on dedicated shuffle capability bits derived from supportedOperations.

The amd-integration fork had cherry-picked the HIP graph driver functions
(graph_create / graph_destroy / graph_add_kernel_node / graph_instantiate /
graph_exec_destroy / graph_launch), and upstream v1.0.0 added the same set.
The per-file 3-way merge appended both copies into
amdgpu_driver_functions.inc.h, producing redeclaration errors that broke the
AMDGPU RHI/runtime compile. Drop the upstream duplicate block; the signatures
are identical to the fork's existing declarations.

* Fix AMDGPU launcher coherence and num_instructions visibility after v1.0.0 merge

- kernel_launcher.cpp: the 3-way merge spliced upstream v1.0.0's launch_llvm_kernel
  rewrite (ephemeral arg/context buffers, explicit-stream path, AmdgpuDefaultStream
  PinGuard) onto the AMD fork's kernarg-by-value + persistent-scratch design,
  leaving references to undefined `ephemeral_context_ptr`. Restore the fork's
  coherent launch_llvm_kernel verbatim; it calls the (already merged) enhanced
  launch_offloaded_tasks, which keeps the max-reducer dispatch and stream-parallel
  groups adapted onto the AMD launch path.
- llvm_context.h: both the fork and upstream added `num_instructions`; the merge
  kept upstream's private placement, but the AMDGPU codegen force-inline heuristic
  calls it statically from outside the class. Move it back to the public section.

* Restore async result D2H and hoist kernarg vectors in AMDGPU launcher

The v1.0.0 merge resolution regressed two amd-integration baseline
optimizations in launch_llvm_kernel / launch_offloaded_tasks:

  - The per-launch result-buffer copy was a blocking memcpy_device_to_host,
    forcing a host stall on every value-returning launch and serializing the
    GPU pipeline. Restore the async D2H (the caller synchronizes lazily when it
    needs the value); external-array transfers still stream_synchronize once
    before reading back.

  - launch_task constructed the kernarg std::vectors from initializer lists
    ({kernarg_payload} / {kernarg_size}) on every dispatch (heap alloc + free
    per launch). Hoist arg_ptrs/arg_sizes out of the per-task launch and reuse.

* amdgpu: default to LDS permlane64 emulation; drop host-x86 barrier asm on retarget

Two AMDGPU JIT-compile crashes surfaced after the v1.0.0 merge pulled in the QIPC subgroup
ops (Genesis-Embodied-AI#676), which made the rigid constraint solver's wave-cooperative reductions route through
`amdgpu_cross_half_shuffle_i32`. Both manifested as a SIGSEGV inside
`llvm::SIInstrInfo::getInstSizeInBytes` during `JITSessionAMDGPU::compile_module_to_hsaco`
(i.e. at first kernel launch), and reproduce on gfx942 / MI300X. Baseline 0.4.6 never emitted
these constructs, which is why it was unaffected.

1. Native `llvm.amdgcn.permlane64` lowering crashes the bundled LLVM 22.1.0 AMDGPU backend.
   Default `amdgpu_permlane64` to the existing LDS-roundtrip software emulation on every target
   (it produces identical results). Add `QD_AMDGPU_USE_NATIVE_PERMLANE64=1` to opt back into the
   native instruction once the backend bug is fixed; the old `QD_AMDGPU_FORCE_PERMLANE64_FALLBACK`
   is now the default and still honored. This is the actual crash fix.

2. The runtime module is compiled by the host x86_64 clang and only retargeted to amdgcn here, so
   `amdgpu_cross_half_shuffle_i32`'s `__asm__ volatile("" : "+v"(byte))` optimization barrier carries
   x86 flag clobbers (`~{dirflag},~{fpsr},~{flags}`) that are meaningless on AMDGPU. The IR verifies
   but the empty-body INLINEASM is invalid on the amdgcn target. Neutralize empty-body barrier asm
   during retarget (forward the tied value, then erase) so no stale host asm reaches codegen. On the
   wave64 targets we ship `ds_bpermute` already addresses the full wave, so the hint is a no-op.

clang-tidy (modernize-use-nullptr, -warnings-as-errors) flagged
`builder->CreateSub(0, input)` in the i32 sgn path: the literal `0` binds to
the `llvm::Value*` LHS parameter as a null pointer, not an integer zero.
Replace with `builder->CreateNeg(input)`, which emits `0 - input` with a proper
zero constant -- identical intended semantics, and clang-tidy clean.
