I've very happy to see that the problem was found and fixed upstream! That's great news. 🎉

That being said, I'm not entirely comfortable with this method of patching, and would prefer to wait for a newer upstream release which contains the fix.

You could pull from my repo (where I've built this for testing). It does not include the changes that were made in 2.7.1 (which I believe were security fixes).

docker pull paullj1/ruby

Looks like this is working for 3.0.0-preview1 as ruby/ruby@3e386d7 is in that release.

Probably wont be solved for Ruby 2.7?
