I've intentionally not touched the RC version, that one will automatically be removed by the bot when it runs update.sh.

So now this has some merge conflicts. I rebased this in https://github.com/jnoordsij/docker-library-php/tree/php-8.2, feel free to use that or merge/rebase yourself.

Gah, I hoped to avoid these by not touching the RC. I've just rebased locally and simply reran ./update.sh to perform all the magic. Thanks.

Wondering: Should we even provide buster / alpine3.16 variants for PHP 8.2? Running a brand new PHP on an old OS doesn't appear to be too useful to me?

Yeah, I feel the same way, but every time we drop N-1 in a new version, some user comes barreling in with a use case so I think it's simpler to stay mostly consistent across versions than to do extra work to exclude older distros on newer releases. 😅

(I think it also would've been good for us to be doing that on the pre-releases too, if we were going to 🙈)
