Summary

  • Message action bars no longer stay pinned open after opening a thread or selecting a thread reply target.
  • Reply buttons now keep the same hover-only visual treatment as the rest of the message actions, while open menus and reaction pickers still remain visible while active.

Test plan

  • cd desktop && pnpm run typecheck
  • cd desktop && pnpm run lint
  • bin/just desktop-screenshot --name thread-action-bar-fix --route /channels/sprout-frontend --wait 1000
