GUI Design - highlighting unreadable color

Regarding Version starting with 1.10.x

In version 1.9.x the highlighting color was blue background and white text. This was readable. Now it ist blue background and black text. This is NOT readable and I would prevere the old colors.
This is after using it without any chaneges in the configuration.

I think, this must be a windows specific problem. Which Windows Version are you using?
I have the same blue / black background with the 1.9.0 Version under Windows 11

And with Windows 10 I got the blue / white background

But I agree the black on the blue is not good

SelectionBackColor is set with the SystemColors.Highlight, that is KnownColor.Highlight
SelectionForeColor is set with the SystemColors.HighlightText, that is KnownColor.HighlightText

Those colors change with the systemsettings

I'm using W10

This is how it looks like on W10 with Versin 1.12.0

And this is version 1.9.0 on the same machine

I looked at it and I think those changes come from the dark mode, since .net 10 will provide a native Dark Mode, I'll check what happens if I remove those changes
