Not able to open a SFTP Url

I've updated to version 1.12.0.0 from 1.9.1.
With this version I'm not able to open a file via SFTP URL.

I tried it with an URL in the following format:

sftp://[username]:[password]@[server]/[path]/[filename]

but the file cannot be opened.

In 1.9.1 it works as expected.
