4. Resolve the duplicate expenses by selecting "Keep all"
5. Verify that only one system message "resolved the duplicate" appears

  • I verified proper file naming conventions were followed for any new files or renamed files. All non-platform specific files are named after what they export and are not named "index.js". All platform-specific files are named for the platform the code supports as outlined in the README.
  • I verified the JSDocs style guidelines (in STYLE.md) were followed
• If a new code pattern is added I verified it was agreed to be used by multiple Expensify engineers
• I followed the guidelines as stated in the Review Guidelines

Actually I have one broken duplicate
And when I press Keep all
I have a crash
But just in case we need to add an optional operator for transaction.reportID and transaction.transactionID inside dismissDuplicateTransactionViolation

Don't you think that's an exceptional case the transactions should not be undefined. Do you think we should add the optional operator because ideally the root cause should be fixed and that is out of the scope of the issue. And even if we add the optional checker I am not sure we will have better behavior. It might be even messier. Have you checked what happens when you add the optional checker?

Yeah
It looks like a very specific case
Since I don't have some of the transactions in allTransactions
As result when I pass transactionIDs and try to find transaction in allTransactions I got undefined
And after that all the problems

But on the other hand
Since this functionality is still in Beta
I think we shouldn't touch it
Plus maybe this is just my problem

As far as I remember
Previously I tested your proposal only with changes related to reportActionIDList where we used a random id
And everything worked fine
