New package: hyfetch-1.4.1 #39489

as cool as i think this package is, we don't generally package forks of existing packages, and we already have enough sysinfo-showing-commands packaged |
Pull Requests become stale 90 days after last activity and are closed 14 days after that. If this pull request is still relevant bump it or assign it. |

Would the maintainers consider making an exception? Neofetch is no longer maintained and hyfetch is, so I think this would be a good package to supplement the original neofetch |
Heii! is there any chance of this PR being reopened now that neofetch is officially dead? |
oh also, i dont really know how to use github tbh. i updated the template to 1.4.11 (latest version of hyfetch) and it works on my mashine. if i wasnt such an idiot id prolly merge it into this PR, but im too stoopid for that😭 I'll just send the updated template in this comment here for now till i figure this all out lmaoo I'd also consider maybe changing the pkgname to python3-hyfetch to fit with the naming convention. |
I would also like to see this package be adopted into Void. Is there a way of letting users know that (Unrelated, but the fact that the original developer of neofetch, @dylanarp, has their profile set to say that they've taken up farming is wonderful; I can totally respect that.) |
is neofetch that critical that users need to move away from it immediately now that upstream development has stopped?

I think that this should just be pulled in anyways. I'm confidently saying that, since so many distros already have it in their repos. Maybe not as much as |
