We have seen a big rise on fully AI/LLM generated Pull Requests in the past month. It is a huge waste of time for us and unfair to PRs wrote by actual people

This is a draft for a policy that will allow us to justifiable closing such PRs

Very much open to suggestions on this one

@Legend-Master why don't you use AI to review PRs? you're spending lot of time reviewing these PRs because you don't use AI

eg "look at last 25 PRs and tell me which one are slop or not"

Well, many things here can't be purely reviewed by today's LLMs yet, it's the same situation as using them to author code

And about the slop detection, that's under consideration, whether with AIs or traditional scripts

One thing that would be useful to readers is that when the ai-slop label is added there's a short explanation how this was determined.
Some hints are easy to understand even without deep knowledge of the code the PR touches, but sometimes the nonsense is not as apparent.

Applaud the efforts.

Well, that would be a lot of work figuring out how to describe it 😂

As you said, it's hard to tell, so my idea is that we label all suspicious ones, and if we misjudge one, the author would comment and argue otherwise while the automated agents won't

It's sad that agentic coding in this instance is essentially bot attacks from 'normal' people to us
