A silent Android wallpaper that visualizes time as state — one dot per day, rendered statelessly from the calendar.
Stateless Time is a minimalist, "install-and-forget" wallpaper utility. It renders a 365-dot grid representing the current year.
- Past days: White dots.
- Today: A single Orange dot.
- Future days: Subtle dark gray dots.
It updates automatically at midnight, purely based on the system date. There is no UI, no settings, and no persistent storage. Just time, visualized.
- Stateless: The wallpaper is regenerated fresh every midnight. No database, no preferences.
- Silent: Runs via
WorkManager. No foreground services, notifications, or battery drain. - Precise: Grid updates at 00:00 local time.
- Clean Aesthetic: A tightly packed 15-column grid with a minimalist progress indicator.
- Clone the repo:
git clone https://github.com/sreenathyadavk/stateless-time.git
- Open in Android Studio.
- Build and Run (
Shift + F10). - The app will:
- Set your wallpaper immediately.
- Schedule the daily updater.
- Close itself.
That's it. You won't see it in your app drawer, but it's there, working in the background.
