The success of this project depends on motivating the widest user base possible to cooperate.
Most newcomers won't spend more than few seconds here, unless the content seen is intriguing enough to warrant further reading.
I therefore suggest that
Reducing duplicated effort when controlling microscope hardware with python
should be replaced with
Reducing duplicated effort when controlling laboratory hardware with python
This is also more accurate description for all people involved, because most scientific instrumentation actually does not seem to be used for microscopy.
