Make Pattern compatible with Python 3

We have a $1,850 budget (PSF grant + private donations) available for developers that want to help us port Pattern to Python 3, by joining the pattern3 development team and sending pull requests. Hi.. I have seen Pattern development team is participating in GSoC2017 to port pattern 2 to pattern 3 for compatibility with python3 .. I am working on python3 projects since last year and really interested in helping development team in porting PATTERN to PYTHON3... Please ping me how can I start on this..Thanks..
