When using dark theme accent colors for text have poor contrast

Steps to reproduce

1. Enable dark theme
2. Visit a page where accent colors are used in the text to highlight (or make more subtle) certain text.
   E.g. the version information on /settings/admin/overview
3. Various shades of gray are used for descriptions, most are hard to read due to the low contrast.

Expected behaviour

A higher contrast. Other colors (non-gray) could be used.

Actual behaviour

Shades of gray on a black background are used.
