[Dual monitor] Nemo jumps to the other monitor

Under some dual-monitor configurations I'm experiencing some weird behavior where applications (Nemo, Firefox) suddenly jump from the monitor they were started in to the second one. In the nemo case, it happens when immediately after starting it I press Enter on a directory. It's not consistently reproducible, as far as I can tell.

I observed this a while back as well - it occurred when the primary monitor was not left-most. Opening a window in the right-hand monitor maximized, then acting on that window in some way, it would jump to the left-most monitor (x0) -

My dual-monitor weekend ran out before I could chase it down, but I think it has something to do with all windows defaulting to have northwest 'gravity' in their window hints.

If I recall, I had the exact same behavior under gnome-shell/mutter, so it was nothing I could narrow down that way.

same prob here when i plug in my tv(std monitor connection) nemo displays desktop on the tv(on the right) after it crashes and auto restarts

At issue #102, fixes for this have been proposed. I am closing this one because they are duplicates; discussion can continue at #102.
This problem is indeed not only happening on Nemo but also on other programs.
