SPHINCS+ CPU load

Users report noticeable cpu load in the SHPINCS+ plugin.

I noticed that the ZEST graph [1] 1) does not work correctly for me (TODO: separate issue) and that the following stack traces appear after closing the view:

Seems like there is a thread that is detached from the view lifecycle and tries to paint stuff (periodically). The periodical part is what lets me think this is the reason for this issue.

Tracked in https://github.com/jcryptool/core/wiki/Improvement-ideas-for-JCT-after-v1.0.0 for a while now; right now, it seemed hard to reproduce on Linux, but we have had this popping up again and again end of 2020, so we'll have to keep an eye open for that.
