Android Touch issues

Hello,

I'm running code-server on Android using termux and so far it has been working amazingly well and great. However, I am facing problems regarding touch screen typing. VSCode relies on mouse/keyboard and touch input doesn't work very well when typing or deleting on phone, and when you try to scroll up and down, keyboard shows up. Is it possible to find a fix for this keyboard and mouse issue for android?

For now, I am using hackers keyboard which allows full control of VSCode using keyboard.

I have also noticed that VHSCode app handles hotkeys, keyboard better than running from chrome on Android, even after installing as PWA.

Using the Android app with Hackers Keyboard has been great so far with no touch or mouse or keyboard issues.

I'll have to try out that keyboard. I think VS Code doesn't have any plans right now for fixing this unfortunately.

The only workarounds I'm aware of are to use a different on-screen keyboard (some seem to work better than others) or a physical keyboard.

Looking for some better options here, are there keyboards that can be manually toggled, or can we create an extension that adds a floating keyboard button that toggles keyboard?

I am not sure, but here is the upstream issue for the keyboarding showing on scroll: microsoft/vscode#169002

I tried looking for other Android keyboard issues that look related but have not found any, so maybe they have not been reported upstream yet.
