MikroTik hAP ac3 4.26.7.0 Firmware Loading Issue

Admin page does not restore without manually rebooting after installing the firmware.

Last night I updated my node to 4.26.7.0 and the very same thing happened as previously reported with the last nightly build. I have to wait long enough to make sure that the firmware loaded and after 20-30 minutes or so, I manually rebooted the node to finish the install. Just in case it was a computer issue, I used a different computer to load it.

Unclear what's going on with this node. Various processes crash during the boot up process due to running out of memory, which I wouldnt expect from the hap ac3. I have one myself and is part of the standard test procedure we run. It doesn't have any issue with the upgrade or memory.

I wonder if you could disable the 5GHz radio on this device and try running the upgrade cycle again (re-upgrading to 4.26.7.0 is fine)?

Another issue with that: as requested, I shut down the 5 GHz radio, which requires a reboot. That reboot also failed to return to the admin page, and I had to reboot it again, same behavior as during the firmware update. I still followed your instructions, but once again I had to “reboot the reboot.”

I did not have this issue before the previous nightly build, and now I’m seeing it in the stable build as well. If it’s just my AC3, then I’ll have to live with it, but it’s a lot of rebooting. I’m more concerned about the remote nodes I manage that are over 1,100 miles away, since I won’t be able to access them anytime soon.

Not trying to fix it with this change, but trying to get more insight into the problem. If you could attach the support data after you reboot like this it would be appreciated.

Not heard of this issue elsewhere - but shouldnt be hearing from it here either of course.

I have two hAP ac3s. I used the Node Status page to upgrade both from 20260706 to 4.26.7. 0. Neither has WAN Client or LAN Hotspot or AREDN radio. Just working as hub for several tunnels. No problems with mine or with several ac3s on our local mesh.

I went back to FW 4.26.1.0 and did not have to reboot the reboot. It behaved as expected, normal return to the admin page.
