I'm not familiar with range request handling code, but HttpSM has the nullptr check of
cache_info.object_readin many places. It looks like theHttpSM::parse_range_and_comparelacks the check.HttpSM::parse_range_and_comparehas one.trafficserver/proxy/http/HttpSM.cc
