Changing language from Spanish to English doesn't work

Description

I see the documentation is now showing in Spanish, I scrolled to the bottom and changed it to English, the page reloads and is still in Spanish.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open the docs (I assume it's taking the language from the location collected by Chrome or smth like that)
2. Use the dropdown at the bottom of the page to change the language.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

• fix(console): follow-up to #13108 — /docs/en still 404 and English locale does not persist #13606: English locale does not persist when selecting from the language selector in docs
• Web/Desktop: detectLocale() skips English, picks wrong language #12063: detectLocale() skips English, causing wrong language to be picked when browser language preferences include English

I think it’s related to the oc_locale cookie.

If you check Chrome DevTools → Application → Cookies:

When oc_locale=en, the language selector works fine.

When oc_locale is set to something else (e.g. ko), switching to other non-English languages works.

However, switching to English does not work — it just redirects back to the ko docs.

So basically, if oc_locale is not en, I’m unable to view the English docs. It seems like the cookie is forcing a redirect back to the current locale when trying to switch to English.

I don't wanna pollute the issue, but I can confirm, this also happens when the preferred language is German in the browser. That way, it is not possible to view the original English documentation, even when switching with the language dropdown or adapting the URL. I think it should be possible to view the docs in a language different from the browser preferred one as translations might be out of date.

Same happens to me. I don't have oc_locale cookie, and my firefox has english set as preferred language. I guess it takes a preference from geolocation.

If anyone needs a quick fix to force the docs to be english, entering document.cookie = 'oc_locale=en; Path=/; Max-Age=31536000; SameSite=Lax' in the console seems to work around the issue.
