3. Trigger the report for the item using Desktop → Start → Reporting Tools → PowerShell Reports → Content Audit → Broken Links. Make sure to select the “External Links“ option.

Some of the links might respond really slow causing the progress bar in the desktop to look like it's broken (notice 42078.3443 ms)

I would recommend these two things:

• add timeout to the requests
• add an extra information to override write-progress in the desktop, currently it can stuck on this message
