Singularity is a free, open, Wikipedia-style learning platform where anyone in the world can learn how to do anything — from wiring an electrical circuit to building a distributed software system — without paywalls, gatekeepers, or fragmented, proprietary knowledge.

We are the operational home of the B.L.U.E. System, a concept 14 years in the making, envisioned by Sebastian Rey. Singularity exists to take that vision off a whiteboard and turn it into a living, breathing platform.

How it works in practice:

• Every guide begins at Level 1 — no assumptions, no hidden prerequisites.
• Each level builds on the previous, forming a continuous tutorial from concept to capability.
• Guides at higher levels link back to the lower-level pages they depend on — so no learner is ever stranded.
• Complex real-world tasks (building a server, repairing an engine, growing food) are broken into levels, making them approachable for anyone.

This is the difference between Singularity and a traditional wiki: we don't just tell you what something is — we show you how to do it, step by step, from the ground up.

Open platforms face a universal problem: anyone can contribute, which means anyone can contribute badly. Traditional solutions — centralized editorial teams, academic gatekeeping, corporate moderation — introduce bias, exclusivity, and bottlenecks.

The B.L.U.E. System solves this with the Verifier System: a decentralized, jury-based quality control mechanism.

Who are Verifiers?

Verifiers are community members who have been vetted and credentialed in a specific domain. They are not corporate employees or paid gatekeepers — they are practitioners, experts, and experienced contributors who have earned trust within the community.

How verification works:

• Submitted content is assigned to a jury of Verifiers relevant to its domain.
• Verifiers independently review the content for accuracy, clarity, and appropriate level placement.
• A vote determines whether the content is approved, returned for revision, or rejected.
• No single Verifier has unilateral power — the jury model prevents individual bias from distorting the platform.

Becoming a Verifier:

Verifiers are identified through demonstrated expertise — contributions, credentials, or community reputation — and onboarded through a transparent vetting process documented in singularity/governance.

Singularity is and will always be free for learners. But building and maintaining a platform of this scale requires resources. The B.L.U.E. System proposes a funding model that is both ethical and non-intrusive: Contextual Advertising.

The principle:

When a guide instructs a learner to use a specific material, tool, or resource, a contextual link to a relevant supplier appears at exactly the point it is needed — not as a banner ad, not as a pop-up, not as a sponsored result.

Why this is ethical:

• Ads are useful, not disruptive. They appear because the learner needs the item right now.
• No personal data is harvested or sold to advertisers. Context comes from the content, not the user.
• Revenue is tied directly to the educational mission — more guides = more useful contextual links = sustainable funding.
• Singularity does not optimize for engagement or clicks. It optimizes for learning outcomes.

What we will never do:

• Allow advertising to influence what knowledge is published or how it is structured
• Put knowledge behind a paywall

Knowledge is contested. Experts disagree. New evidence overturns old consensus. Communities have conflicting needs. The B.L.U.E. System acknowledges this reality and provides a structured path through it.

Auditors are a designated tier above Verifiers — neutral, with no editorial stake in the disputed content. When mediation fails, the Spin-Off Method ensures that legitimate disagreements are not suppressed. Competing views each receive their own documented, clearly-labelled space within the platform.

No knowledge is destroyed. Disagreement is made visible, not erased.

The world has an abundance of knowledge and a crisis of access.

Proprietary platforms lock practical knowledge behind subscriptions. Universities lock it behind tuition. Corporations lock it behind trade secrets. What is freely available is fragmented — scattered across forums, videos, paywalled journals, and outdated textbooks — with no unified structure to guide a learner from not knowing to knowing.

The B.L.U.E. System, and Singularity as its home, exist to fix this. Not to monetize it. Not to own it. To give it to the world in a form that actually works.

Everyone has something to teach. If you know how to do something — and you can explain it clearly, step by step — you can contribute to Singularity.

1. Teach, don't just describe. A guide must show someone how to do something, not just explain what it is.
2. Start at zero. Every topic begins at Level 1 — assume no prior knowledge.
3. Cite everything. Claims must be sourced. No unverifiable assertions.
4. No paywalls in the path. If a guide requires a paid tool with no free alternative, that must be disclosed.
5. Neutral and accurate. Guides present how things work — not opinions about how they should.

Singularity is governed by its community. No corporation owns it. No investor controls it. All major decisions are made through Singularity Improvement Proposals (SIPs) — openly written, publicly debated, and voted on by the community.
