OSCR-server release notes for June 9th, 2024:

  • Added new API GET /variant/ and GET /variant/{name}. (Example: https://oscr.stobuilds.com/variant/)
  • Default page sizes for variant and ladder APIs are much higher than previously. Multiple fetches should no longer be needed to get the entire list of ladders
  • Default ladder sorting should be more consistent prioritizing the default variant.

General

  • Deployment was reworked back to using Docker Compose.
  • Added Variants support to the Ladder API.
  • Added support for Nukara Prime: Transdimensional Tactics (accepts all difficulties)
  • Added Variant for pre-OSCR (pre-Season 31) records.
  • Added Variant for Season 31
  • Added Variant for Season 31 which limits submissions of Flagship Staffing trait while it was reducing the cooldowns of unviersal consoles.

New Feature: Variants

  • Each Ladder now includes a Default (for all legal uploads) ladder but there are also the concept of variant ladders.
  • Each variant has a time range in which it is valid (e.g. There is a Variant for Season 31)
  • Variants can exclude time ranges (The Season 31 variant excludes the time range where Flagship Staffing was broken).
  • Differentiation can be made between ground and space variants.

Note on Nukara Prime: Transdimensional Tactics

Some research has shown that it is potentially impossible to detect a difference between the Advanced and Elite variants of Transdimensional Tactics. Instead of hiding this fact, this map will be eligible for records on all difficulty modes until a time in which we find a good way to tell the difference between Advanced and Elite.

Normal detection is possible, however instead of making an exception the choice was made to allow all records being allowed. After some discussion Elite in general should parse higher so it shouldn't be likely that a Normal or Advanced parse makes the top spot, there is very little difference between the Advanced and Elite queues as it stands, and it's even possible to overkill Advanced to the point where the damage dealt spills over into Elite territory.

If anyone has any thoughts on how to more accurately parse NTTX, please let us know.
