Sorry, to dig up old issues. But the response is a reference to the issue itself. And I can't find any other issue mentioning json. So is this enhancement still on the table?

Sorry, I fixed the reference (had to search for json1) it's #288 allow building of SQLite JSON1 extension when building internal sqlite library
