Access compressed data

Is there a way to access the embed data without decompressing it?

One usage is sending compressed bytes as a response to an http call, browsers usually support decompressing

Currently not exposed in the API, but would be a nice idea to expose it. That said, currently we do not have any stability guarantees on which compression algorithm is used internally, and exposing that would be a new API guarantee (but should be fine since this is such a small library anyway).
