My thoughts on the API Design Review. Try to be faithful to the MS implementation much as possible where feasible. Any enhancements can also live along side the core implementation.

With other language bindings also coming from MS, it is good that there are consistency among the implementations.

So idiomatic Rx comes before any other implementations. Idiomatic * can core exist along side the standard Rx usage.
