DCP broken in desktop app

/dcp commands and tools fail in non TUI clients with errors like:
TypeError: {} is not iterable

The UI from ignored messages is also all kinds of broken because they render differently in desktop app.

Conclusion: don't use this plugin with desktop Opencode

edit: web app and other other clients are fixed in "@tarquinen/opencode-dcp@beta", desktop app reported to work as well, will close when beta is merged with latest release

I believe this issue is related to opencode running in secure mode like for this plugin: NeuralNomadsAI/CodeNomad#83

I still, as far as I know, have no way to detect which kind of client is connected to opencode within a plugin. Any clever ideas for how to deal with desktop/webapp rendering text differently from TUI, specifically for the messages showing the DCP tool results?

I've opened a PR (#322) that adds automatic detection of Electron/Desktop environments to auto-disable DCP on those clients.

I've personally found that DCP works much better in TUI than Desktop - the Desktop client has compatibility issues (the TypeError: {} is not iterable errors you mentioned) that make it unusable there. The current version of OpenCode (1.1.x) has breaking changes in the @opencode-ai/plugin implementation that haven't been addressed yet.

This PR is a practical workaround that:

• Keeps DCP fully functional for TUI users
• Prevents confusing errors for Desktop users
• Auto-detects the environment and disables with a clear message

It's not a permanent fix for the underlying compatibility issues, but it makes the plugin much more usable in the meantime!

yesss, nice I was looking for something like this, will merge it to beta branch though for now as next release is coming from that, and will close when its in latest.

also I fixed TypeError: {} is not iterable in #318, so the webapp and other clients using secure mode should work fine, desktop however remains broken due to some rendering issue

I was too excited, I tested it and it does not disable :-( I must find another way.

New PR but less pretty as it will disable for everything that uses "serve" and keep it for the TUI only.
