How do i export filtered results/entire tab into a text file?

• LogExpert Version - 1.8.7
• Windows Version - Win 10 Education
• Lokal file or Network - Local File
• Used Columnizer - I don't think so, i load logs without adjusting any options
• Is this version specific or a new problem - this is more of a 'how do i do this' thing.

i frequently use LogExpert to go through traffic/security logs, some of which are really huge and you just can't run it through notepad++.
So what i normally do is filter out the results/log entries i need, and then i do a copy to clipboard and paste it into notepad++ as a sort of manual export.

but now i've come across a situation where i need to export out over 2gb worth of log entries (after filtering was done), and copying to clipboard doesn't seem to work anymore lol

was reading documentation about external tools, so added notepad++ in there, but it just opens up an empty new file. Is there argument/switches i can input so can LogExpert can directly export an entire tab into notepad++?

Or am i going about this the wrong way?

I don't think Logexpert currently supports saving a filtered tab into a new file.

You could write a simple program that reads line by line and splits it based on a given regex and writes that to a new file.

I agree.

Futher, you could try to copy the lines in batches (instead of one big copy&paste, make it 4 smaller copy&paste).

A dedicated export option is less flexible than just copy&paste selected lines. And I don't think this is a common issue.
Thus, it sounds like feature creep to me.

#30 sounds like you can only copy visible lines in the filer view. But here it seems like one can copy 2GB of lines (at least something different happens then).

maybe, the line itself should be there, but you can only copy the hard-border of 20k characters, this is as far as I'm aware the hardline of the grid that is used, i might be wrong here, hadn't enough time to look into this particular issue

But the feature to "save" a filtered tab is quite a good feature

Would love a feature to right-click on a filtered tab and have an option to save contents as a new file.
I use LogExpert a lot for wading though large diagnostic traces and have to filter out lots of 'noise' to get the diagnostics that I need. Having to avoid the Select All and paste into Notepad++ would be a bonus
