Summary

The AWS account onboarding modal provides no link to the AWS IAM console. Users must navigate there manually, find the role creation flow, and configure it correctly without guidance.

Suggested improvement

Add a deep link button (opens in new tab) to the IAM role creation wizard:

https://console.aws.amazon.com/iam/home#/roles$new

Optionally pre-populate the trust policy step via URL params. Even a plain link to the IAM roles page would reduce friction meaningfully.

Fixed and merged in PR #39 (commit 1a84b658c).

Change

Added an "Open AWS IAM console →" link below the trust-policy snippet, pointing at the role-creation wizard (https://console.aws.amazon.com/iam/home#/roles$new). Opens in a new tab with rel="noopener noreferrer".

Combined with #18 (auto-generated External ID) and #19 (trust-policy snippet), AWS onboarding is now self-service: generate secret → copy policy → click through to IAM → paste → done.

Verification on AWS Lambda deploy

Deployed index.html contains the link with the expected attributes:
