Update POM config with git scm info

The scm info for git needs to be put into the parent POM so releases work.

Also on this branch I will:

• Add a basic .gitignore file.

• Add any other necessary config to get the releases working with git config.

This should be fixed on the master now. The Hudson release procedures are not setup yet, but this should not require any additional changes to the POM files.
