Update failure- user data copy failed & started without the previous version's settings data

• I am using the latest version of Flow Launcher.

• I am using the prerelease version of Flow Launcher.

Problem Description

Flow wanted to update and I said no. Few hours later I get this error for every plugin and user settings. Then it asked me to update again and I agreed, so now I'm on fresh installation of 2.1.0.

Go to the location of your user data, should see both app-2.1.0 and app-2.0.3. You should be able to roll back by deleting (after exiting flow) the 2.1.0 directory. Starting flow again it should use the 2.0.3 user data directory.

In regards to the error, for some reason it's not able to copy the Spotify plugin folder across to the new version. The update code is probably not handling this and should actually remove the update (app-2.1.0) if the user data copy failed. This has created the false impression that the user settings have been reverted after the update.

You can do a manual update by downloading the latest version and then manually copy your user data directory across.

As I said, it failed to copy basically everything from UserData directory. Manual update worked fine. You can close the issue if this is not going to be looked into.

Yeah that's what I mean, it failed to copy because something in Spotify plugin caused the copy error and failed the copy process. I was trying to explain how the error came about. This does need to be looked into.
