Explanation of Change

Documents the new behavior introduced in #94973: on the Expensify mobile app (iOS and Android), signing out while receipts are still uploading now saves those receipt images to your device's photos so they aren't lost.

Added an FAQ entry to the New Expensify Create an Expense article covering:

  • The Save your receipts? confirmation prompt shown on manual sign-out from Settings, with the Save and sign out button.
  • The silent save on a forced/automatic sign-out (e.g. expired session).
  • The fail-safe: sign-out still completes even if the receipts can't be saved.

All feature names and button labels (Settings, Save your receipts?, Save and sign out, Sign out) were verified against the copy added in the source PR and the current New Expensify UI, per HELPSITE_NAMING_CONVENTIONS.md and HELP_AUTHORING_GUIDELINES.md. Placed as an FAQ entry in an existing article (rather than a new article) to respect the one-workflow-per-article rule.

HelpDot Documentation Review

Overall Assessment

This PR adds a single, focused FAQ entry (9 lines) to the existing New Expensify Create an Expense article, documenting the new mobile sign-out behavior that saves in-progress receipt uploads to the device photos. The addition is correctly scoped: it extends an existing article's FAQ section rather than creating a new article, which respects the one-workflow-per-article rule. The proposed content is well-written, platform-explicit, and compliant with the governance standards.

Scores Summary

  • Readability: 9/10 - Clear, scannable prose; the two bullet points cleanly separate the manual sign-out (prompt) and automatic sign-out (silent) cases, and the closing sentence covers the fail-safe. Concise and action-oriented.
  • AI Readiness: 9/10 - The new heading is a full, natural-language question that matches real user search intent. Correctly placed under the FAQ section, uses only H2 (no H3), and requires no metadata changes since the existing frontmatter already includes internalScope.
  • Style Compliance: 9/10 - UI labels Settings, Save your receipts?, and Save and sign out are bolded per the Button/Section naming standards. Mobile action verb "Tap" is used correctly, and the platform is stated explicitly (iOS and Android) per the Cross-Platform Clarity Rule. No prohibited/vague navigation phrasing.

Key Findings

  • New heading is question-based and searchable; correctly compliant under the FAQ section.
  • UI terminology and button casing match the source PR (Save unsent receipts to the device gallery on sign-out #94973) copy and follow the naming conventions.
  • Platform-specific behavior is clearly disambiguated (manual vs. forced sign-out) with the fail-safe explicitly stated - good adherence to the Cross-Platform Clarity Rule.
  • Minor: The entry references signing out "from Settings" without a full navigation path. This is acceptable for an FAQ answer, but a brief path could add precision if the sign-out control isn't obvious.

Recommendations

  • No blocking issues. The change is ready pending the assignee's confirmation that the copy matches the current mobile UI.
  • Optional: consider a short parenthetical for where sign-out lives in Settings if the location isn't self-evident to users.

Files Reviewed

  • docs/articles/new-expensify/reports-and-expenses/Create-an-Expense.md - Compliant. Adds one FAQ entry under the existing FAQ section; no structural, heading-hierarchy, or terminology issues found in the diff.

Note: This review covers only the added lines in the PR diff; unchanged content was not scored.
