Summary

Follow-up help site update for #91743, which fixed the per-card export row in Card Details so the default option's label now matches the Export company card expenses as setting (Default card, Default vendor, or Default account) instead of always showing Default card (or rendering blank when no workspace-level default was configured).

The help article Configure-Company-Card-Settings.md previously only referenced "Default Card" in its note about per-card export accounts. This updates that note to reflect that the default option label varies by export method, and corrects the UI casing.

Changes

  • Updated the note under How to export to individual accounts to explain that the default option label is Default card, Default vendor, or Default account depending on the Export company card expenses as setting.

3. Select a specific **export account** for that card.

**Note:** If the card is set to Default Card, the central export account will be used.
**Note:** The default option in the export account list is labeled based on the **Export company card expenses as** setting: **Default card**, **Default vendor**, or **Default account**. When a card uses this default option, the central export account is used.

@MelvinBot I think you should only change Default Card to Default option.

Done — reverted the rewrite so the note now only changes "Default Card" to "Default option":

Note: If the card is set to Default option, the central export account will be used.

HelpDot Documentation Review

Overall Assessment
This PR makes a single, narrowly-scoped wording change in the article docs/articles/new-expensify/connect-credit-cards/Configure-Company-Card-Settings.md. It updates one Note line under the "How to export to individual accounts" section, changing "If the card is set to Default Card" to "If the card is set to Default option." The intent appears to be clarifying which card-level export setting falls back to the central export account.

Scores Summary

  • Readability: 8/10 - The sentence remains clear, concise, and well-placed as a Note. No flow or scannability concerns introduced by the change.
  • AI Readiness: 7/10 - The change is too small to affect headings or metadata (out of diff scope). Wording stays aligned with the surrounding task-based section, but the referenced setting value is not made retrieval-precise (not an exact, bolded UI label).
  • Style Compliance: 5/10 - The referenced UI value is neither bolded nor confirmed to match the exact in-product label, which conflicts with the Core UI Referencing Rules and Toggle/Section reference rules in HELPSITE_NAMING_CONVENTIONS.md.

Key Findings

  • The changed line references a UI value but uses plain text (Default option) rather than the exact, bolded UI label. Per HELPSITE_NAMING_CONVENTIONS.md, UI elements must use the exact product text, match capitalization, and avoid paraphrasing or generalizing.
  • 'Default option' reads as a generalization. If the product actually labels this value 'Default account' or 'Default Card,' the doc must match that label verbatim. The change risks substituting a synonym rather than the literal UI string.
  • Positive: the edit is minimal, surgical, and does not introduce structural, heading, or metadata regressions. It keeps the Note format consistent with the rest of the article.

Recommendations

  • Confirm the exact in-product label for this setting value and use it verbatim, with bold formatting if it is a selectable UI option, for example: Note: If the card is set to [Exact UI label], the central export account will be used.
  • Avoid the generic word 'option' if the UI shows a specific named value; use the literal label instead to preserve UI-exact terminology and AI retrieval precision.

Files Reviewed

  • docs/articles/new-expensify/connect-credit-cards/Configure-Company-Card-Settings.md - Single-line Note wording change; needs UI-exact, bolded label per naming conventions.

Note: Detailed line-by-line feedback has been provided as inline comments.
