[Due for payment 2026-07-17] Update the "Getting started" slot for the Track expenses for my business intent #93097

Description

@flaviadefaria

Background

We recently introduced onboarding steps in Home for the Manage My Team and Track expenses for my business intents. As we continue refining these flows, we want to ensure they guide users through the essential setup required to successfully use the product for their needs.

For the Track expenses for my business intent, connecting a company card is one of the most important setup actions. Most expenses that users need to track come from business cards, and without a connected card, the expense-tracking experience is significantly less valuable. Users who haven’t connected a card won't see expenses automatically flow into Expensify and may not realize the full value of the product. By surfacing company card setup as a core onboarding task, we increase the likelihood that Track users connect their cards early, enabling automatic expense collection and improving activation for the Track experience.

This is how it looks today:

Proposed changes

  • Add a Link company card step in the Getting started slot below Customize accounting categories
  • Selecting the step should navigate the user to the Company Cards page (/company-cards) within the workspace editor.
  • The step should automatically be marked as completed when the workspace has a successful connection.

If a user disables Company cards or Categories from the More features menu while the Getting started slot is displayed, we would hide the corresponding step to keep the experience aligned with their selected features. Likewise, if they later re-enable one of those features, we would add the relevant step back to Getting started.
