Action Performed:

Precondition:

• Workspace has a direct feed with Plaid cards.
• Owner invited a member as admin to the workspace.

1. Go to staging.new.expensify.com
2. [Owner] Go to workspace settings > Company cards.
3. [Owner] Assign a card to owner.
4. [Admin] Go to workspace settings > Company cards.
5. [Admin] Click on owner's card.
6. [Admin] Click Card name field.

Expected Result:

Admin should see owner's card name in card list (Step 4) and card name field (Step 6).

Actual Result:

Owner's card name in card list (Step 4) and card name field (Step 6) are blank on admin's side.

What is the root cause of that problem?

Currently, we only retrieves the custom card name from customCardNames

The custom card name is stored in NVP_EXPENSIFY_COMPANY_CARDS_CUSTOM_NAMES, a user-specific NVP. When admins access the company cards page, the backend response from OPEN_POLICY_COMPANY_CARDS_PAGE doesn't populate this NVP for admins

What changes do you think we should make in order to solve the problem?

As a workaround, we can add a fallback to getDefaultCardName(cardholder?.firstName) when customCardNames is not available, similar to how it's already implemented in WorkspaceCompanyCardDetailsPage

However, the proper fix should be implemented on the backend side to ensure that NVP_EXPENSIFY_COMPANY_CARDS_CUSTOM_NAMES is populated in the OPEN_POLICY_COMPANY_CARDS_PAGE response for all workspace members, not just the user that assign the card
