Action Performed:
- User opens a report in New Expensify (Web)
- Clicks the option to export the report as a PDF
- A popup appears and spins as if loading
- After several seconds, the popup closes and the user is returned to the report screen
Expected Result:
The report should be successfully exported as a PDF and downloaded to the user’s device.
Actual Result:
The download fails silently:
- No PDF is generated or downloaded
- No error message is shown
- In some cases, the downloaded PDF is blank
- Issue is observed more frequently with larger reports (e.g., 90+ expenses or high receipt count) but also occurs on smaller reports
Workaround:
Yes, a workaround exists. Users have reported successful PDF downloads using Safari when Chrome fails. The Concierge team has communicated this workaround to affected users.
