Action Performed:

Precondition:

• Account has self DM.

1. Go to staging.new.expensify.com
2. Go to self DM.
3. Click + > Track distance > Manual.
4. Enter amount > Next.
5. On confirm page, click Rate.
6. Click Upgrade > Got it, thanks.
7. Enter a rate and click Save.
8. On confirm page, click RHP back button.
9. Click RHP back button.

Expected Result:

RHP should close.

Actual Result:

RHP reopens Add rate page.
Then, back button reopens confirm page which reopens amount page again.

What is the root cause of that problem?

When creating Expense, we get to this part on the Create Distance Rates page:

What changes do you think we should make in order to solve the problem?

Here, we perform navigation that creates a new navigation stack to the page instead of returning to the previous screen.

We need to replace Navigation.navigate with Navigation.goBack.

PS: If this does not work for all cases, we can create a new parameter depending on which we will perform either navigation or return.

What specific scenarios should we cover in automated tests to prevent reintroducing this issue in the future?
