Action Performed:

1. Sign in to staging.new.expensify.com
2. Navigate to a conversation
3. In the URL, edit it to navigate to another conversation (Public room, another 1:1 conversation, a conversation that can not be accessed) eg. staging.new.expensify.com/anything
4. Search for the edited URL

Expected Result:

User is navigated to the URL loaded and conversations are displayed (including page not found for conversations the user is not allowed to access)

Actual Result:

The conversation that was opened beforehand is loaded and user has to load the edited URL again to navigate to the intended conversation.

What is the root cause of that problem?

2. We only navigate to the deeplinked report once its data is already available. So on the first attempt it fetches the data, and on the second—with the data in place—it performs the navigation.

Ah, I missed @bernhardoj's comment that this has the same root cause as #66525. I also noticed that @bernhardoj commented in that other issue saying that we'll be adding back the code in #65506.

@bernhardoj - do you think we should just put a hold on this for #65506?
