App Component: Chat Report View

Action Performed:

1. Launch expensify
2. .Create a new group chat
3. Tap on the + button next > select "Split expense"
4. Select scan > Select a file of a receipt > Tap "Split expense"
5. Add an amount while it's scanning > Go back to the chat to see the preview
6. Ope the report and see the amount shown on the split

Expected Result:

The amount shown on both main chat preview and the split report is the same

Actual Result:

The amount shown on both main chat preview is $0

Please re-state the problem that we are trying to solve in this issue.

Split amount is shown as 0 on preview of a split expense on the group chat

What is the root cause of that problem?

When we manually set amount of receipt split bill the amount remains at 0 and modifiedAmount will be updated but we are displaying amount here

What changes do you think we should make in order to solve the problem?

We need to fallback to amount only when modified amount is falsy

    const originalTransaction = getOriginalTransactionWithSplitInfo(transaction).originalTransaction;
    const amount = isBillSplit ? (originalTransaction?.modifiedAmount || originalTransaction?.amount) : requestAmount;

but note that we need to use || instead of ?? because unedited split transactions have 0 modified amount

We can optionally use TransactionUtils.getAmount which basically does the same.

What specific scenarios should we cover in automated tests to prevent reintroducing this issue in the future?

We can add a test for getTransactionPreviewTextAndTranslationPaths that to assert it returns the modifiedAmount when it is non zero.
