Problem: We create IOUs, which are fake transactions, for certain test scenarios (Manager McTest, Bottom up Test Drive) and end up marking them as paid in the test flows (so users don't end up paying them). But after the users are done testing, they want them removed from their expense list so they can start using the platform without fake transactions.
- Manager McTest: manager_mctest@expensify.com sends an IOU to the user testing the create expense functionality.
- Bottom-up TestDrive flow: We create an IOU that we mark as paid to be sent from the sender of the test drive to the receiver. So in this case, I think we'd allow either user to delete the transaction.
Solution: Let's update the platform to allow any transaction we create in one of our test flows to be deleted, even if they are marked as paid.
