Issue reported by: Applause Internal Team
Device used: Mac 15.3 / Chrome
App Component: Money Requests

Action Performed:

Precondition:

  • Account has self DM.
  • Account has no workspace.
  1. Go to staging.new.expensify.com
  2. Go to self DM.
  3. Track a manual expense in self DM.
  4. Click Share it with my accountant.
  5. Select a user that you have chatted with (or create one if there isn't one, to avoid Expense-New WS chat created as "Chat Report" when adding accountant and avatar leads to error #61434).
  6. Enter merchant, select category and click Create expense.
  7. Go to workspace settings > Members.
  8. Note that the invited member is now an admin.
  9. Go to #admins room.

Expected Result:

There will be a system message that the user is invited as admin.

Actual Result:

There is no system message that the user is invited as admin.

There is also no role update system message when sharing track expense to an existing member (member role) of a workspace, which will promote the member to admin.
