Action Performed:

Precondition:

• User is logged in with a private domain account.

Bug 1:

1. Go to staging.new.expensify.com
2. Go to chat.
3. Mention a user from the same private domain in the composer.
4. Add another @ at the beginning of the mention, so there will be double @.
5. Send the text.

Bug 2:

1. Go to staging.new.expensify.com
2. Go to chat.
3. Type @gmail.com
4. Send the message.

Expected Result:

In both cases, the mention will not disappear briefly after sending the text with mention.

Actual Result:

Bug 1 - The second @ followed by user mention disappears briefly after sending the mention.
Bug 2 - The message is blank briefly after sending @gmail.com

I tried reproducing on:

• dev : ❌ - not reproducible
• staging : ☑ - reproducible

Could it be related to #54037 cc @Kicu?

It's a minor UI issue for a specific case so not a blocker.
