App Component: Money Requests

Action Performed:

1. Launch app
2. Go to workspace settings
3. Create a tag and category with max characters allowed to enter - 0aintenance of the day I am not able to do it in the evening only told you that you are not shown in the future of the day I will check with you and your family with me or not necessary to be safe and sound when you are free to contact me at the time of t9
4. Members must categorise/tag all expenses toggle on
5. Open the tag and category with max. characters and try to type more characters
6. Note user not allowed to enter more characters
7. Go to workspace chat
8. Try to create an expense with category and tag selected ( select category & tag with max characters)
9. Tap create expense
10. Note with max. characters category selected error displayed
11. Select other category
12. Tap create expense

Expected Result:

When category and tags with max. characters is selected while creating expense, error display must be consistent for both categories and tags.

Actual Result:

When category with max. characters is selected while creating expense, error is displayed but for tags error is not shown.

Please re-state the problem that we are trying to solve in this issue.

When category with max. characters is selected while creating expense, error is displayed but for tags error is not shown.

What is the root cause of that problem?

We define API_TRANSACTION_CATEGORY_MAX_LENGTH = 255 here and its limit set on the servers

But when creating a new category we are set limit as 256

We should set the character limit of category name when creating new category to 255 by updating CATEGORY_NAME_LIMIT to 255

Or we can update all limit to 256

Or we can define new const like API_TRANSACTION_TAG_MAX_LENGTH = 255 and add new validation for tags
