Add migration analysis for Windows Nano Server#1
Conversation
The repository contains an analysis of the feasibility of moving Warewolf to Windows Nano Server Docker instances. The analysis concludes that a direct migration is not feasible due to heavy dependencies on .NET Framework 4.8 and Windows Workflow Foundation, which are not supported on Windows Nano Server. The new documentation file
NANO_SERVER_MIGRATION_ANALYSIS.mddetails the specific blockers preventing migration to Windows Nano Server. These include:System.Activities(Windows Workflow Foundation), which is not available in .NET Core.System.DirectoryServicesand WMI, which have limited or no support in Nano Server.System.Web).The document concludes that a rewrite to .NET Core/5+ would be necessary to support Nano Server, making this a high-effort modernization task rather than a simple platform migration.
