We have a use-case in which a TextUpdate widget is being used to show one element of a 90-element waveform record, the required value is extracted using a subArray PV. When run the widget shows all 90 elements of the subArray PV (x, 0, 0, .......) although NELM is set to 1.
The same logic of displaying only NELM elements should equally apply if we were displaying a waveform record directly.
