Proposal for a FOSDEM 2022 presentation

FOSDEM 2022 is coming up in February. Our talk at FOSDEM 2021 was a big highlight for me for the year, and I'd love to do another one.

Talk proposals are due in a week, on December 23. I posted about this in Slack as well.

There are two tracks that I think are interesting for us, "Open source design", and "Web 3 infrastructure". I think the efforts around Lightning and Alby are a great match for the latter.

@johnsBeharry and I talked and decided to register for a talk (details TBD), you're very welcome to help out. The two topics we identified so far are "Open design infrastructure" and "Open design collaboration". We'll share more details as soon as they are in a slightly better shape.

We got accepted! The schedule is not live yet, but our talk will be on Saturday, Feb 5 at 11:10 UTC. As last year, we have to pre-record and upload it ahead of time, still waiting for details on when that needs to be done.

Since our talk at FOSDEM 2021 focused on our big ambitions and plans for Bitcoin Design, we thought it would be good to follow-up with a review on what we tried, what has worked and what hasn't - stories from the trenches. Here's the submission info:

Supporting open design in Bitcoin

Subtitle:
Stories and learnings from 1.5 years of supporting designers and open design processes in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Description:
At FOSDEM 2021, we shared an introduction to, and the ambitions of, the Bitcoin Design Community. 6 months into the effort, we were brimming with ideas and big goals for designing amazing user experiences, connecting designers with open-source projects, and lots more. Now, one year later, we’d like to look back and share where we are, what has worked for us, and what hasn’t (yet?).

Next step will be to gather content for the presentation and create an outline script. As this is meant to reflect the efforts of the community, your input will be very helpful.
