Windows solution for me was to set JAVA_HOME as an environmental variable.

@josinaldobarbosa I installed the same java as yours but I still get building failed. Do you have any suggestion to overcome this problem ?

Quick comment before the error to say this is an amazing tool for using on company phones.

Using windows AhMyth also and getting same error "Build Failed"
I've installed jdk
I've set the environmental variables JAVA_HOME as well
Ran it as administrator also

Still having problems. There's no error logs either so finding it impossible to debug.

Did anyone get it working?

to resolve the building failed error run the following commands
$update-alternative --config java
then select java-8 jdk
it worked for me
