out of bounds on IPC Stream

Issue Description

I have an web endpoint for which you POST-stream vortex array. Right now, if you send large enough (to force chunking?) it fails with

Failed to read array: Range [0, 4) is out of bounds.

Expected Behavior

I should be able to read the array

Actual Behavior

Error is returned

Reproduction Steps

I believe this illustrates the bug: develop...db/failing-stream

right now it fails with

called `Result::unwrap()` on an `Err` value: Range [5120, 5124) is out of bounds.

OS Version Information

MacOS 26.1 (25B78)
