Finding how many students selected each option on a multiple choice quiz question

Is there a way to find via the api what percentage of students who took a quiz selected each of a multiple choice problem's options? As in, 30% picked A, 8% picked B, etc. It exists in the canvas website, but I haven't been able to find an api solution.

It looks like you can get this information from the Quiz Statistics endpoints.

This sample code should get you in the right ballpark, but you'll need to tweak it to get exactly what you want:

course = canvas.get_course(COURSE_ID)

quiz = course.get_quiz(QUIZ_ID)

stats = quiz.get_statistics()

for stat in stats:
    print(stat.question_statistics)

Note this is for Classic Quizzes. I don't see an exact match for New Quizzes.
