How to read the MQTT value

I added an MQTT Jason input and want to extract the "apower" value. Whatever I tried without success

the Mqtt topic is "Feedbox/status/switch:0"

What are your configuration settings?
Do you have debug logging enabled for the input to put additional log lines in the Daemon log?

Thanks for the reply. I found the mistake because I used localhost instead of the IP. However I am not happy with the input because after reading the value it jumps between 0 and the reading. If the value will change fast in the 15sec range I have no problems. Do you have an idea where it comes from?

The value is only saved when a value has been published, so if you're seeing a value of 0, that means your other MQTT client has published a value of 0. With debug logging enabled, like I mentioned, you can see the raw output from the input in the daemon log to investigate the issue.
