An important note for the 0.8.x series is that we are deprecating the helm charts in favor of the operator. The helm charts will continue to be available for this release with limited maintenance, but the documentation for 0.8.x will not contain details about installation with helm.

We made this decision to avoid the maintenance of two different parallel deployment mechanisms, and because the operator offers much better functionality, like automatic integration with cert manager, of cluster features detection to pick the right endpoint network mechanisms. It will also make it easier to operate in the future, perform certificate rotation, etc, which is difficult to perform with helm.
